How do you get this to work? I see the track map but no cars on it. Thanks

Check the Track Map menu item, you have to select the drivers to show on the map.

  • Add a Widget, go to its properties and enable the Track Map
  • Set the Widget Data Set to trackmap
  • Add a SubWidget (to this same Widget) which will act as the template, e.g. the SubWidget that will be displayed for each car on the track map.
  • Go back to the Widget properties, under Track Map category select the Template Subwidget you just created.
  • In the SubWidget add a Label and set the Data Binding to (for example) carnumber, or name or whatever fits.

That should be it, now just make sure at least one driver is "selected" to display on the map using the Track Map menu (both in ATVO and in the Theme Editor).

One last qusetion on this topic, i hope lol, my "dots" are clipping when going to the edge of the track map box, and there is no way to put a margin on the map it self as far as i know?
Yes there should be a margin, maybe even two (inner / outer), can't remember. Look in the properties of the widget under Track Map category.

Yes i found it, im an idiot thank you very much.

Ok, why does my track map do this? It never seems to be accurate.

Ill try to explain what im doing, in the segment of this video I am adding 1 car at a time to the track. My team cars have unique back grounds as you see. When i add the third car it mixes up the cars and it gets worse the more cars you add. lol Also its very flickery, anyway to change that?

Yes I found the bug, I think I fixed it but it needs a bit more testing I think. Will probably release it soon as beta.

Ok so its a bug and not an issue with my overlay?
Yes it is a bug, related to the ordering of the drivers. Although perhaps with some combination of the data order you may get it to behave ok. But probably not.

Thanks Nick! I'll give this a try as well tonight. Did this by chance fix the flickering issue we were experiencing?

looks like the flickering is still there but perhaps the order is fixed now.
