Video Resolution Question

I'm attempting to make a ticker animation similar to NBCSN's where they have NASCAR/Indycar/sponsor slide in for about 5 seconds, then slide back out. I made the video and was able to import it into ATVO just fine. Although, I set the resolution of the video to the size of the ticker (300x600) and the video takes up the entire screen, even though I set it to be in the Widget (also 300x600).

Am I just supposed to have the video be the full (mostly transparent) 1920x1080 and try to match the location of the ticker??

How are you playing the video? This is most likely the culprit. Any video that you add to the theme will become availabe from the Media Player list, and can be played directly via the Media Player, or via an Action.

If you also set the video in a Widget, then the Media Player list will get an additional entry with the name of the Widget. If you "Play" that widget, it will play the video in the widget. If you "Play" the video, it will play it in fullscreen.

Via Actions, you have to select the Target to play. You can either select the video itself (it will play in full screen), or you can select the Widget (it will play in the widget).
