Change Ticker Background for Fastest Lap

I want the background of the driver on the ticker to go purple with a fastest lap, I know this is only possible with a script, just not sure how to go about it.

Alright bumping this but a little different. I'm using it on subwidgets that are not a ticker so just need something to override a background color when that driver has the fastest lap of the race.
