(Editor) Real-time changes not showing

Let's say I move a block of text in editor (within the overlay), the image is not moving. I have to export it to see the changes, which is somewhat time consuming. I tried hitting the "Design Mode" button and no luck. Is there a setting or something else I'm missing? - Thanks in advance.

Within the editor, everything should be updating in real time. So let's say you are in a SubWidget designer and you move a label, the Overlay tab should immediately show that change, whether or not you have Design Mode enabled. The only exception I think are tickers; widgets in a ticker do not update until the ticker is refreshed which happens when you change a ticker property or in some other cases (but not automatically in realtime).

If you are talking about outside of the editor, e.g. running the theme in ATVO, that does not update in real time of course. Indeed you need to export and reload the theme for that to update. Unfortunately there is no way around this. This is why I made the Design Mode - which is kind of a preview of the theme and should be using the real data (if iRacing is connected) and make everything locked so you are not editing anymore. But indeed there are differences between Design Mode and actually running in ATVO.

Defiantly the first one as I'm not making changes on the fly within ATVO. This is specific to Editor.

They are sub widgets also, but not to a ticker. Will keep looking. Thanks!!

Okay, if I check/uncheck on overlay within the sub widget it shows. Slight workaround...

Still not sure what you mean. When I make changes to a SubWidget I can see it change live in the Overlay. See below where I have overlay (left) and SubWidget (right) side by side.

Does this not work for you?

It does not. It did, it use to. LOL

Okay, I got it to work. I had to delete the preferences in my "AppData" folder. One I did and relaunched the program, all is good. IDK if this is common or that I even should have done this - but whatever works right!?

That is very weird...

Nick, I'm an idiot. This Widget did have a ticker associated with it, and per your info above I'm guessing that is why it did't show. Today I messed around with it and it stopped showing real-time movement again. I deleted the AppData files again and still not movement.

So RECAP - Deleting files in the AppData folder has NOTHING to do with it. It was the PICNIC error (person in chair not in computer).
Hoping this helps someone else as I totally overlooked it.
