When I open the timing screen feature, the entire menu works extremely slowly, and does not update that standings or laps. I'm hoping this is an easy fix, but I can't seem to find it. I've heard of people talking about running the overlay on different versions? But I'm not familiar with how to change it. (alpha, beta, stable). Could this be related?
Changing the version/channel is rather easy. Simply go to the updates tab inside the settings and select another channel (stable, alpha, beta) from the dropdown.
For the timing screen issue we might need to look into it. @Nick: help! :D
I changed the channel, but to no avail. This pretty much renders the whole overlay useless, I have a league starting next week with this overlay. Doing some troubleshooting today on mg own, but if anyone has insight, much much much appreciated. Scott
The slowdowns happen only when using the timing screen. To be more specific, if I use the timing screen and overlay in one of my replay files, it works fantastic. Every time I try it on a live screen, the o relay itself works great, and updates smooth and consistent. It’s just the timing screen in a live session. The data freezes on the first lap it’s loaded on, and stays there.
I have narrowed it down that it must be something inside of my theme, as opposed to a computer problem. I tested the example theme, and the timing screen works great there.
SOLVED! So after running the example theme, I went back to mine and realized I had a bunch of warnings I had not addressed. If anyone is having problems with it slowing, don’t underestimate the importance of addressing these errors. Runs great now! Thanks everyone! Scott
